Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty, born on the 1st of October, 1995 was raised in Berkeley, California. She is an actress from America that has appeared on screen in Choices (2010) and The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004).

Asia Argento is an Italian actor and filmmaker born into a large household. She has pursued both professions herself. Her first film came out when she was only 9 years old in Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, she played the lead role in Cristina Comencini's first film, Zoo, and was part of the cast of The Church directed by Michele Soavi. Red Wood Pigeon was the subsequent year's film, in which Asia was Nanni's child. Close Friends was written by Michele Placido and was directed by her. This was when Asia's career started to grow as she transitioned from girlish roles to complex and mature roles. The film received an enthusiastic response at the Cannes International Film Festival. Daria Nicholodi was among Argento's favorites actresses and played the role of an anorexic child searching for their murderer. Asia's intense, absorbed performance style was utilized in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato nozze. Co-starring with Carlo Verdone in Perdiamoci di perspective as Arianna the girl with physical handicap. The complex and demanding character earned her the David di Donatello Award for Best Actress. In 1995 she co-starred with Michel Piccoli in Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio which again brought her a David di Donatello and an award of Grolla d'oro. Asia began directing in 1994 and released two short films and an episode from the movie De Generazione. In 1996, she produced a documentary about her father. She also produced AbelAsia which was a documentary about the cult director Abel Ferrara. In 1998, Asia directed AbelAsia, that was honoured by the Rome Film Festival. Asia started directing her first feature film in 1999. The film was Scarlet Diva. For this film she also played the lead actress and also wrote the script. The movie was released on May 20th, 2000 in Italy as well as in various other countries. This film was awarded during the Williamsburg Festival in Brooklyn, New York.
